Your biggest mistake…
When it comes to your job interview…
Is not being specific enough in your answers!
It’s crazy how often I ask a candidate (as a recruiter) to provide an example of XYZ and the answer to the question still doesn’t involve ANY example or anything specific.
Specific examples are important because without them what you say is just words without any evidence to back it up.
It’s important to include examples that are as recent as possible.
It’s NOT ideal to use something from 2003.
While better than NO example, it’s a beige flag.
So 1) arm yourself with specific examples and 2) work on proactively calming your nerves so you can be more present in order to draw on your specific skills and experience.
Rectifying mistake could literally be the difference between you getting the job ad not getting the job.
